Terms of use
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Short version: your work stays yours, be truthful about whose words you publish, and remember Encore is a young product built by one person. The longer version:
What Encore is
Encore helps freelancers and small studios collect client feedback and turn it into case studies. It’s in early access: features will change, and access is currently invitation-only via the waitlist.
Your content is yours
Everything you put in and everything you make - your project details, your clients’ feedback, and the case studies Encore helps you draft - belongs to you. Encore takes no ownership of any of it, and only the permission needed to store, process, and display it so the product works (for example, hosting the public case study pages you choose to publish).
Publishing is your call - and your responsibility
Nothing goes public without you clicking publish. Because of that, it’s on you to make sure you have the right to publish what you publish: respect your NDAs and client agreements, and don’t share confidential names or numbers without permission. Feedback marked by a client as not-for-publication must stay that way. If a dispute arises from something you published, that’s between you and your client.
AI drafts are drafts
Case study text is generated from the content you provide, and it can be imperfect. You review and edit before publishing; you’re responsible for the accuracy of the final published words.
Sending email through Encore
Feedback requests are sent on your behalf to clients you worked with. You agree to use this only for genuine client relationships - no cold outreach, no spam. Follow-ups stop automatically when a client leaves feedback or opts out, and opted-out addresses stay opted out.
The honest liability part
Encore is provided as-is, without warranties. It’s an early product and, despite real care, things can break or be unavailable. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Encore’s liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service (which, during the free period, is zero). Keep copies of anything you can’t afford to lose.
Fair use, both ways
Accounts used for spam, deception, or anything illegal can be suspended. You can stop using Encore anytime and ask for your data to be deleted - hello@shalvishelke.com.
